Lumilogic is a Finnish company specializing in data center and high-performance computing (HPC) solutions, serving demanding customer needs from Riihimäki.
The company provides secure colocation services, virtual servers, and scalable Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions, specifically designed for heavy workloads in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and scientific computing.
At the core of Lumilogic’s operations are Finnish reliability, energy efficiency, and uncompromising technical expertise.
Starting point and challenge
Lumilogic wanted to centralize service delivery and management from the ground up with a modern platform. The company's goal was to ensure operational efficiency and process transparency, while building a solid foundation for future growth and development.
In addition, Lumilogic has a strategic goal of achieving ISO 27001 certification.
This certification requires comprehensive process documentation, control, and traceability—requirements that the previous operating models could not meet. The company needed a modern ITSM solution that would not only streamline daily operations but also serve as the backbone for meeting information security requirements.
Solution design and implementation
HaloITSM service management system was selected as the solution. The guiding principles of the project were speed and agility. Instead of heavily customizing the system from the start, Lumilogic chose to leverage HaloITSM’s ready-made “Out-of-the-Box” (OOB) processes.
This approach enabled:
- Resource efficiency: The implementation did not tie up the customer’s resources in lengthy specification projects.
- Fast deployment: The project progressed from design to production within a tight schedule.
- Best practices: The OOB processes brought ITIL-aligned operating models without the need for separate definition work.
Result and impact
The project was completed successfully and on a fast schedule. Lumilogic now has a unified HaloITSM environment in place, replacing previously fragmented ways of working.
